Runner-up finish in Wieland Winternationals prelim at Golden Isles Speedway
Best Performance Motorsports and Tyler Erb followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to Golden Isles Speedway this past week as the Georgia oval hosted the final leg of the Wieland Winternationals.
Erb opened the week with a sixth-place finish on Wednesday and followed it with a 13th-place outing on Thursday. He found his best result of the week on Friday, securing the final transfer spot in his heat race before charging forward 12 positions in the 40-lap feature to finish second, joining race winner Jonathan Davenport and Ricky Thornton Jr. on the podium.
His Wieland Winternationals came to an early end on Saturday when motor issues forced him to retire on lap seven of the $25,000-to-win finale.
