Tyler Erb dominates at Greenville, defends Gumbo Nationals title
A trip to Mississippi’s Greenville Speedway proved highly rewarding for Tyler Erb this past weekend, as the Best Performance Motorsports driver scored a weekend sweep to successfully defend his Gumbo Nationals title.
Erb, the 2016 Gumbo Nationals champion, pocketed $15,000 for his dominant weekend, leading every lap across both nights of competition to earn his 12th and 13th wins of the 2025 season.
Both Friday and Saturday saw Erb pull off clean sweeps, topping qualifying, winning his heat race, and dominating the main event each night. On Friday, he cruised to a commanding victory, crossing the finish line nearly five seconds ahead of the field. Saturday’s feature was tighter, but Erb still maintained control, edging out runner-up Spencer Hughes by 1.644 seconds.
