Terbo Racks Up Three Wins During DIRTcar Summer Nationals Week Four
The DIRTcar Summer Nationals rolled into July with Tyler Erb continuing his mid-season surge, collecting three wins during Week Four of the grueling Hell Tour.
“This is probably the coolest place I’ve ever been to in Tennessee,” Erb said in Duck River Raceway Park's Victory Lane. “This is awesome. It had a cushion, and that end over there was super racy. How many times do you get to come down south and run a cushion like that? But, just a really great night. We got six more races now, and I just got to try to win every one of them.”
Action began Tuesday at Missouri’s Benton Speedway, where Erb was among 33 Late Models signed in for the opener. After finishing second in his heat race, the Texas native charged from sixth in the feature, tracking down early leader Jason Feger. Erb completed the winning move with a lap-25 slide job and led the final five circuits to secure his eighth victory of the season.
The momentum carried into Wednesday’s stop at Spoon River Speedway, where Erb nearly completed a clean sweep. He set fast time in his qualifying group, won his heat race, and outran overall fast qualifier Bob Gardner at the drop of the green to dominate the $5,000-to-win feature. The back-to-back victories marked his 20th career DIRTcar Summer Nationals triumph.
An engine issue on Thursday at LaSalle Speedway derailed Erb’s bid for a third straight win, but he rebounded Friday at Red Hill Raceway with a solid fifth-place finish.
At Indiana’s Tri-State Speedway on Saturday, Erb followed up a runner-up effort in his heat with a fourth-place result in the feature.
Capping the week on Sunday at Duck River Raceway Park, Erb added another $5,000 payday with a flag-to-flag performance in the feature. He edged Jason Feger by 1.093 seconds to notch his sixth Summer Nationals win of the 2025 campaign.
Despite the strong week, Erb finished just one point shy of Feger in the Week Four points battle.
