Tyler Erb Tops Twisted Twin 25 Preliminary at LaSalle Speedway
Readies for Dream Week at Eldora Speedway
ST. MARYS, Ohio (06/02/25) – Tyler Erb recorded his fourth win of the season on Friday evening with a $5,000 MARS Late Model Championship Series triumph in the final Twisted Twin 25 preliminary feature at LaSalle Speedway.
The Best Performance Motorsports pilot held off a late charge from series regular Ryan Unzicker to secure the third MARS tour victory of his career.
“I just had to kinda move around and do all kinds of crazy stuff and keep them scared from trying to get next to me I guess,” Erb said. “But yeah, it worked out. It was cool. The format really, really helped me today, so just take them any way you can get it."
After weather washed out Friday’s program in Indiana, Tyler Erb’s weekend began in Illinois with the MARS Late Model Championship Series opener at LaSalle Speedway. With twin preliminary features on tap as part of the Twisted Twin 25, Erb advanced from his heat with a fourth-place finish before registering a ninth-place result in the opening feature.
Benefiting from a top-10 invert for the second main event, Erb started on the pole and led all 25 laps en route to a $5,000 victory.
The weekend concluded with a strong fourth-place showing in Saturday’s $25,000-to-win finale, dubbed the Illinois Valley Showdown.
