Runner-up finish with Spring Nationals at EAMS

A doubleheader weekend with two different series brought Tyler Erb and the Best Performance Motorsports team to Mississippi and Alabama this past weekend.

With the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series on Friday at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Miss.), Erb squeezed into the House of Hook Showdown opener with the final transfer spot in his heat. Starting in 17th, Terbo was sidelined on lap 27 with mechanical issues while running ninth.

After Saturday’s rain out was announced, Erb and the Best Performance Motorsports crew headed to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) for the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals event. Following a heat race win, Tyler set the pace early in the $10,053-to-win A-Main before ultimately finishing second in the 40-lapper. He joined race-winner Brandon Overton on the podium with Cody Overton finishing third.
