Podium finish in Wieland Winternationals finale at All-Tech
With Monday’s opener falling victim to wet weather, Tyler Erb and the Best Performance Motorsports team returned to Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) on Tuesday for Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series-sanctioned South Georgia Showdown.
Racing into the feature with a fourth-place finish in his heat race, Erb spun around on lap 38 while running third that ended his night.
For a tripleheader weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) Thursday through Saturday at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.), Tyler followed up a fifth-place finish on Thursday with a sixth-place outing on Friday.
On Saturday, Erb squeezed into the $15,000-to-win Wieland Winternationals finale with a consolation victory. Starting 18th in the feature, Tyler stormed through the field 14 spots to register an impressive third-place finish. He joined race-winner Devin Moran and runner-up Jonathan Davenport on the podium.
