Tyler Erb rolls to sixth in Nippy 50 finale at Maquoketa Speedway
Competing in a pair of unsanctioned events in the Hawkeye State, Best Performance Motorsports and Tyler Erb trekked to Maquoketa Speedway (Maquoketa, Iowa) over the weekend for the inaugural Nippy 50.
Starting Friday’s opener in sixth via runner-up showing in his heat race, Tyler suffered a flat right-rear tire on the ninth circuit while running fifth that brought an early end to his night.
Back at the quarter-mile oval on Saturday, Erb stormed into the $20,000-to-win Nippy 50 finale with a heat race victory. Starting on the third row, Tyler steered to a consistent sixth-place finish.
